Verta SkillBridge Internship Program Description
Verta is a veteran-led telecommunications infrastructure company that designs, deploys, and operates vertical assets for wireless service providers nationwide—including in Hawaii and Puerto Rico. We are committed to supporting transitioning service members by offering immersive SkillBridge internships that provide real-world experience, professional development, and a clear pathway into meaningful civilian careers.
Through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program, active duty service members may join Verta for up to 180 days during the final months of their service obligation, prior to ETS. During the internship, participants continue to receive their full military pay, benefits, and insurance, while working and training alongside experienced professionals at Verta. There is no cost to the service member; Verta provides all required equipment and covers travel when occasional in-person meetings or site visits are necessary.
Program Structure
Verta SkillBridge interns join operational teams and contribute directly to the deployment of wireless infrastructure that supports 5G, public safety, and broadband expansion across the United States. Each participant is paired with a supervisor and mentor, receives an individualized training plan, and participates in structured evaluations to support professional growth and credential readiness.

Locations
Verta offers multiple placements to accommodate a variety of military separation timelines and geographic needs:
- Portland, Maine – Corporate headquarters
- Cincinnati, Ohio – Corporate office
- Remote – Full remote opportunities with periodic travel for meetings, training, or fieldwork (travel costs covered by Verta)
Who Should Apply
Verta seeks motivated active duty service members who are eager to build careers in engineering, infrastructure, construction, business, or technology. Candidates with backgrounds in leadership, operations, logistics, or technical fields are particularly well-suited—but all MOS/ratings are welcome.
Career Pathway
Successful SkillBridge participants gain industry experience, build professional networks, and receive priority consideration for full-time employment opportunities at Verta following completion of their military service, and support in their search externally when a Verta position isn’t offered.
